hi, I’m zo — founder of the zook lab. that little sidekick next to me is my son, master ok.
the name for the zook lab was born over a game of yahtzee (because obviously) + the idea behind it came from me being that friend - the one flipping your skincare bottle over, reading the ingredients list + raising an eyebrow. the one ranting about “fragrance,” calling bs on “clean” claims, and telling anyone who’d listen about the importance of plant-based, toxic-free, cruelty-free home + beauty products. ask my friends - I'm always going on about it.
i’ve forever been obsessed with ingredients — in everything. after years of boring (or enlightening?) my family + friends with label breakdowns, I realised: maybe this could help more than just those closest to me. that's when I realised that this obsession of mine might actually be the perfect thing for the zook lab.
so, now I'm turning the zook lab into the place for no-crap education, ingredient decoding + honest, smart conversation about what we put on our skin + into our bodies.
